Signal Processing Solutions for the Networked Battlespace
From 2013 to 2017, I worked on one work package for the project--Signal Processing Solutions for the Networked Battlespace, supported by the UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and the Minister of Defence (MOD) University Defence Research Collaboration in Signal Processing. The work package focues on the application of the domain knowledge for improving signal processing performance in different applications. One example is exploiting the particle filtering technique for the object tracking, with the dynamic Bayesian network being applied to incoporate the  geographical information as priors.

Computer Vision Based Fall Detection Techniques Toward Assistant Living
My PhD work focuses on developing non-intrusive fall detection techniques, by the aid of image/video processing and machine learning techniques.  Features (i.e., head/body centroid position, projection histogram and skeleton features) extracted from video streams are applied to construct supervised and unsupervied models (such as the SVM) for the fall detection
